Ahmad Joudeh - Dance 2017 - GRENZE (N) LOOS
A Syrian and a Colombian. Two people with different backgrounds and histories. Both are strangers on arrival. But are not we all a foreigner in our own country? In Grenze (n) loos , the Dutch baritone Michael Wilmering, dancer Ahmed Joudeh and the Japanese pianist Kanako Inoue show a colorful palette of diverse cultures and music styles. The three of them break through borders and cultures and perform songs by Schubert and Schumann, Brahms, Ravel, the Rahbani Brothers, Xavier Montsalvatge, Roger Quilter, Korngold, Vaughn Williams, Harry Bannink and Annie MG Schmidt. The Utrecht composer Monique Krüs wrote a new Dutch-language song for the performance.
